Mark Harris

Mark is a professional, energetic, and charismatic business leader with a broad, extensive experience of public, private and NFP organisations across a range of sectors.

The ambitious and competitive entrepreneur has successfully nurtured many organisations through at least four economic downturns over the last 25+ years. From a basis of academia (MBA/PGCE) he has a proven track record including being awarded 11th place in the IC100 Register (the top 100 growth companies in the UK) for one of his own companies.

Mark is driven by success. His experience includes providing leadership and direction (often as a Non-Executive Director) to a plethora of organisations of all sizes, successfully reshaping business strategies so that they emerge stronger, more focused, and ready to transform, adapt and ultimately thrive.

An excellent strategic planner, supporting implementation activity through tactical, operational plans which are focussed on clear goals, outputs, performance and financial achievement.

Mark is a leader who is adept at ensuring success through inspiring performance of individuals and teams. He leads by example; sets and agrees aims, objectives and targets collaboratively and ultimately engages, motivates and encourages others to achieve.

Mark’s personal attributes include: strategic and business planning, executive support (including NED/INED),organisational analysis/transformation/re-engineering, succession planning (including exit strategies), Director/Partner dispute resolution.

Dean Harris

Dean has over 25 years’ experience as an operations manager with a strong financial (AAT), compliance and administrative background and a key strength in developing robust and agile business systems and processes.

Dean's a professional individual with excellent organisational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. She has a hunger for detail and focuses on delivery, motivating others and ensures objectives/goals are achieved.

A very capable, objective and forthright person with the ability to function well at both board and operational levels. Dean has a strong all-round ability with a ‘hands-on’ approach (and a good sense of humour!).

Away from The Business Company, Dean can be found in the gym (boxing, spinning, HIIT), indulging her passion for travelling, entertaining, at the cinema or reading.

Emma Thomas (ACMA)

Emma has over 15 years’ experience within a range of businesses from a small accountancy practice to a multi-million pound construction company and various SME’s in between. Emma is a very systems based accountant with a friendly and honest approach. She is always on the lookout for efficiencies within the accounts function to ensure effective production of management information which enables businesses to achieve their objectives.

Away from The Business Company, Emma is a keen weight lifter but also experiments with a weekly Clubbercise class! She enjoys spending time with her young family with their favourite past times being going to the cinema and dining out.

Christian Berenger

Christian has a proven background in sales and marketing having owned and run his own business for over 20 years. Following the successful disposal of his business in 2016, Christian wants to share his experiences of business.

With a solid track record in relationship and business management, communication, leadership and possessing motivational skills, Christian interacts with clients, business prospects and staff alike ensuring the best is always achieved.

Christian is a dedicated husband to Louise, active father to Amelia and Ethan, supporter of the local school as Chair of the school's finance committee and is either found pounding the hills of Shropshire trying to reduce his personal best or busting clays with a 12gauge shotgun.

George Holt

George has spent his working career in a wide range of industrial fields including plastics technology, engineering, manufacturing and service companies. His vast experience includes general management, service, operations, quality and health & safety.

With this experience, George has undertaken a number of interim roles within engineering companies, implementing the business plans developed by The Business Company, delivering optimum results for clients.

Married with two grown-up sons, away from work George enjoys DIY, football, cycling and walking.
